脱氢表雄酮(DHEA)是由17-羟基孕烯醇酮的侧链裂解产生的一种17-酮类固醇。DHEA可逆性转化为其硫酸盐形式(DHEA-S)和雄烯二醇(Androstendiol)。人类肾上腺同时分泌DHEA和DHEA-S,而DHEA-S又是雌激素和雄激素类固醇的前体。DHEA与许多生理状况有关,包括抑郁症、系统性红斑狼疮和类风湿性关节炎。
