LAG-3全称为淋巴细胞活化基因3（Lymphocyte Activation Gene-3），又称CD223，在T细胞活化的负调控以及稳态增殖方面起重要作用。LAG-3与T细胞共受体CD4密切相关，并与MHC II类分子结合，但结合MHCII比CD4具有更高亲和力。LAG-3在肿瘤免疫治疗方面存在巨大潜力。
